With over 20 years of experience across forensic mental health and psychology services in prison systems, Dr Emma Regan is the Director of Care and Rehabilitation with the Irish Prison Service and President of the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology (IACFP). In this interview, Dr. Regan shares her views on the future of rehabilitation in correctional settings and the role of psychology in institutional culture and practice. She reflects on current challenges, emerging practices, and why leadership training is essential for psychologists working in correctional settings.
