Cybersecurity has become vital due to the increased use of modern technology and global connectivity, which has resulted in the infiltration and surveillance of information. This has empowered terrorist organisations to exploit the relevant information, thus exposing the vulnerabilities of international protection systems. Cyber-attacks have significant economic and social impacts on nations, affecting their security and social systems. Therefore, it is imperative for the global community to collaborate in safeguarding cyber security and guaranteeing its preservation. This study examines the global and domestic safeguarding of cyber security and how it influences nations' economies, political and military systems, and societal structures. It is evident that there is a need for global collaboration in order to effectively combat cyberattacks and crimes. In order to achieve this objective, a legal research approach was employed, and secondary qualitative data was gathered. Descriptive analysis was conducted after the collection of the required data. The results revealed that the advancement of financial and economic services linked to the internet and technology poses heightened risks to economies worldwide. Cyber-security crimes transcend geographical and temporal boundaries. There is a growing interest in cybersecurity in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This study has also proven to be impactful in offering significant implications, enhancing its overall effectiveness by motivating policymakers and government officials to develop and enforce robust cyber security policies and laws aimed at mitigating cyberattacks.
