DIREITO DAS SOCIEDADES, COSTUME / África

Challenging current dogma in customary law scholarship, this Article canvasses the existence, viability, and value of customary corporate law in common law Africa, and highlights its advantages not only for business activities, but also for devolution, democratic values, and allied humanistic concerns. The Article shows that customary corporate law, despite its peculiarities, is consistent with the substance as well as processes of corporate law under current conceptions of corporate law in the norm-generating centers of the subject, including Delaware.
