Despite the harsh environmental conditions, Israel has become one of the leading countries in the world that has obtained the highest productivity in agriculture and livestock in which Kibbutzs have especially played an important role. Kibbutzs are jointly owned enterprises, where the family does not have any property rights, not receiving a wage or a fee, where all of their needs are met by the administration and in fact children are raised there, as a separate place from home, until they reach a certain age. These establishments that at the beginning were only involved in agriculture have in time made considerable strides in industry and tourism as well. Moschaws are not only private but also jointly owned enterprises. Members receive some wage as a result of their joint effort and have a limited amount of land which they own. Moschaws are divided into two as “moschaw ovdim” and “moschaw shitufi”. However, they have not been as successful as Kibbutzs so far. |
