WILLIAMS, D. J. The transtheoretical model and quality of life promotion : towards successful offender rehabilitation Probation Journal, London, V.49,n.3(Sep. 2002), p.217-226 REABILITAÇÃO Writing from a North American perspective, D. J. Williams and William B. Strean argue that an approach that focuses on the "Quality of Life" (QOL) construct can help offenders to develop sufficient intrinsic motivation to engage more quickly in the therapeutic process. This approach is consistent with the transtheoretical model of behavioural change, which has been widely used in North America within the areas of psychotherapy, addictions treatment, and health promotion, but, contrary to the UK experience, has received relatively little attention as a framework specific to offender rehabilitation. |
