The following article deals with the issue of current activities of the Czech Republic in the area of prevention and combating extremism and terrorism. Its aim is to characterize the situation, stress aspects which are in my opinion important and mention some potential problems. In this paper I would like to briefly describe the "history" of extremism in the Czech Republic. (i.e. since 1991). In the final part I briefly high-light some aspects regarding the Czech policies for combating extremism and terrorism and mention some of the problems and challenges as well. At the of the paper there is a list of sources used. Article is based mainly on official sources (especially of the Ministry of the Interior) and where I found it appropriate on academic papers as well.
