The EU Regulation 2018/1724/EU, establishing a Single Digital Gateway, is a tool that aims to remove specific practical obstacles to citizens and businesses accessing online procedures and information in another Member State. Therefore, this analysis focuses on the novelties introduced for «cross-border users» and, among others, the attempt to cope with multilingual issues, in order to allow for easier access to information and procedures in other Member States. In addition, addressing the issue of governance will underline the need for sincere cooperation among EU and national administrations as to overcome existing obstacles and to really enable the exercise of rights in the context of the single market.
