Résumé
Dans un contexte de rapprochement entre les modes de direction / commandement des secteurs privés, publics et militaires, le management trouve un écho toujours plus grand. En France, le Ministère de I'intérieur souhaite aujourd'hui faire reposer I'action des forces de police, police nationale et gendarmerie nationale, sur Ia définition d.objectifs et Ia recherche de résultats chiffrés. Cette approche n'est pas inédite pour Ia gendarmerie, une expérience menée de 1999 à 2001 à partir d’une initiative locale fournit quelques indications sur les limites de ces formes de commandement à I'échelon opérationnel. Si les gradés se sentent impliqués dans Ia poursuite d'objectifs, les gendarmes se déclarent plus réticents. Leurs propos permettent d'identifier divers facteurs de résistance et d'en déduire les limites qui peuvent peser sur une mise en ceuvre globale d’une culture du résultat dans le domaine de Ia sécurité intérieure. In a context of parallel between the methods of conducting / command of private, public and military sectors, the management finds an echo bigger and bigger. In France, the Ministry of Interior wishes Affairs today to build the action of the police forces, state police and gendarmerie, on the setting up of objectives and the search for figured results. This approach isn't unprecedented for the gendarmerie, an experiment led from 1999 to 2001 from a local initiative gave some indications on the limits of these type of commanding at the operational level. If, on one hand the officers are motivated by the pursuit of objectives, the gendarmes. on the other hand, are more reluctant. Their remarks allow to identify different factors of resistance and to deduce the limits which may interfere in the overall use of a result culture in the field of domestic security.
